What to know
In the days before
Avoid aggressive exfoliation, tanning, and anything that leaves the area sensitized. Do not shave immediately before the appointment.
At check-in
Tell the technician about retinoids, acne medications, recent peels, laser treatments, sunburn, allergies, pregnancy-related sensitivity, or past reactions.
Prepare the area
- Wear comfortable clothing for body waxing.
- Keep the skin clean and dry.
- Avoid picking, scratching, or exfoliating irritated skin.
- Postpone if the area has cuts, active rash, or sunburn.
Important: Some medications and skin treatments can make waxing unsafe. Do not stop prescribed medication on your own; ask the prescriber and the salon whether the service should be postponed.
